"Silná rytmika bubnů a perkusí žene celý sbor neúnavně vpřed a nutí posluchače minimálně pokyvovat hlavou nebo rovnou tančit a nechat se v duchu hypnoticky vézt lesy a loukami, jejichž obrazy z nahrávky přímo sálají. Rozmanitost je něco, co nahrávku posouvá velmi vysoko a co oceňuji, protože často se stává, že v podobném žánru se autor vyčerpá na prvních třech skladbách a další kompozice je těžké od sebe navzájem rozeznat. "Jenže jakmile zjistíme, co provedli Sluneční bratři a co všechno děvčátko muselo podstoupit pro to, aby zachránilo lidstvo před nekonečným létem a s tím spojenými následky, „Basnj“ nabere na úplně jiném rozměru, spojí se v jeden celek, a hlavně vyvolá skvělou obrazotvornost. Z jedněch mužských hlasů se stanou krvežízniví psi, štvoucí svou kořist, z těch druhých vznešení a pyšní synové Slunce. Liščino povzbuzující halekání silně připomínající velkolepost Heilung v „Prěstupiti prag“ nabere jasný směr a dívčin kulning (skandinávský zpěv pro svolávání dobytka) v „Čelom protiv burji“ už nebude jen machrovinka na závěru stopy. “Pro jedny to bude moc akční, pro druhé příliš experimentální. Tím nechci tvrdit, že jde o cosi na půli cesty odnikud nikam, ale že poslech JEDNOHO KMENE není záležitostí pro masy. Je to zřejmé i z nástrojového obsazení, v němž se nachází bubny, perkuse, brumle, různé píšťaly a kytara. O takřka strašidelnou atmosféru se starají vokály, většinou skřeky, křik, šepot, o běžném zpěvu se dá mluvit jen tu a tam a hlavně pak v závěru nahrávky. “Kapitolou samou pro sebe je pak DVD, na němž se nachází animovaný film, který Jeden kmen pouští během svých vystoupení. V podstatě se jedná pouze o statické scenérie po nichž velmi pomalu přejíždí kamera, někdy doplněné o symboly, jenž je překrývají. I přes to, nebo spíše právě proto, se jedná o úchvatný zážitek, který nejen že velmi adekvátně doplňuje hudbu, ale ta by bez něj dokonce působila neúplně. "The strong rhythmic drum and percussion drives the whole choir relentlessly forward and forces the listener to nod his head at least or to dance and let himself be hypnotically transported by the forests and meadows whose images radiate from the recording. The variety is something that pushes the recording very high and something I appreciate, because it often happens that in a similar genre the author exhausts himself on the first three tracks and it is difficult to distinguish the other compositions from each other. "But once we find out what the Sun Brothers have done and what the little girl had to go through to save humanity from the endless summer and its consequences, "Basnj" takes on a whole new dimension, comes together as a whole, and most importantly evokes great imagery. Some male voices become bloodthirsty dogs, teasing their prey, while others become noble and proud sons of the sun. Liska's rousing hallelujah, strongly reminiscent of the magnificence of Heilung in "Prěstupiti prag", takes on a clear direction, and the girl's kulning (a Scandinavian chant for summoning cattle) in "Čelom protiv burji" is no longer just a macho flourish at the end of the track. "For some it will be too action-packed, for others too experimental. This is not to say that it is something halfway from nowhere to nowhere, but that listening to JEDEN KMEN is not a matter for the masses. This is evident in the instrumentation, which includes drums, percussion, strums, various whistles and guitar. The almost spooky atmosphere is taken care of by the vocals, mostly screams, shouts, whispers, with regular singing only here and there and especially at the end of the recording. Everything is illustrated by either natural or artificial, ambient sounds. "A chapter in itself is the DVD, which contains an animated film that the Jeden kmen plays during its performances. Basically, it is just static scenery that the camera pans over very slowly, sometimes with symbols superimposed. In spite of this, or rather because of it, it is an immersive experience that not only complements the music very adequately, but it would even feel incomplete without it.
